One day in the year 2012, I was sitting with my father Late Shri Megh Raj Khera the only alive Founder member of AIDSS and the proud recipient of the LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT Award in the year 2015. My father evinced keen and sincerely suggested that an attempt should be made to compile a narration to preserve the great culture and goodness of our community.  Who are quite ignorant about our former Derawal chronicle.

They are now without knowledge because they have lost their parents or beloved ones, who could apprise them of the past and fill the gaps. Such a narrative would be both interesting and illuminating for the younger generation of today and future generation. It would be a step in the process of rediscovery. 

Although the Sabha was publishing Derawal Patrika on a monthly basis from now onward a quarterly basis, which comprises AIDSS activities, Editorial, information on office bearer titled “ Know Your Sabha”, monthly events with photographs, birthday wishes to Life Members on a monthly basis with their photographs, articles on health, list of our honoured donors, Tribute / Shardhanjali  / In loving memory of our ancestor and other superior general issues published by prominent members of our community, in Hindi and English.  

The previous history must be a foundation for the present, from which guidance, inspiration, and lessons can be drawn for the future generation. Herein lies discretion and prudence.

Thus, I start considering the concept of preserving our Derawal History. So, in the month of Oct. 2012, I proposed and discussed the matter with our late Administrative Trustee & Former Chief Patron Shri M.M. Mehta, then existing President Shri Surender Kumar Mehta, and Past President Shri Anurag Chawla for the development and appropriate designing of the digital platform of AIDSS WEBSITE.  On this Shri, Anurag Chawla recommended a web designer, for registering the Domain of AIDSS.  Once Domain was acquired the web designer was briefed and relevant documents were given, for uploading on AIDSS Website.  But my proposal was unique as expressed above, hence I got it approved in the AIDSS meeting, and start executing it which took an improved shape in the middle of 2014.

The idea is to deploy the above-stated information on one platform, which will not just enable visitors to know about the activities being done by AIDDS but may also act as a global promotional tool for All India Derawal Sahayak Sabha (Regd.) to reach potential members located in India as well around the Globe 

  Hence, I recommended Mr. Sameer Grover, who is a pioneer in the field of web designing and development, etc. He revealed his eagerness to voluntarily serve the Sabha for developing the AIDSS WEBSITE. Once the AIDSS domain is registered in the name of AIDSS. He started uploading all the information on AIDSS WEBSITE Including Derawal Patrika and Annual Derawal Day Patrika, at whatever time he received from Mr. Mahinder Budhiraja of M/s. Emkay Printer.   

AIDSS WEBSITE was ultimately started in the improved version in the middle of the year 2015.

For developing this Website, I wholeheartedly obliged Shri Surender Kumar Mehta (Trustee) and Shri Sameer Grover (IT Advisor) for their sincere suggestion from time to time and kept the website upgraded according to the need of the time i.e., Addition, Deletion in “KNOW YOUR SABHA” and other details, etc., etc. and proving AIDSS WEBSITE a great success. Moreover, it is not the end up, you all will keep on getting updates, as it is a continuous process.  

It is therefore in this context this attempt has been made. I would request the reader/viewers, whenever you read out kindly bear with me and accept it in the spirit in which it has been designed, despite the laps and shortcomings. After all, it is a humble attempt by me.
